This is For Manda Mack... Photo Wall Pics!!

So, it has been a LONG time since I have posted to my blog.... But I have really good excuses! I've been knee deep in Weddings and Graduations, my kids are on summer vacation (Who came up with that?! I already can't wait for August.. Lol) needing either my attention or my cab services every second of the day AND my mother has been in town for three weeks..... I've been neglecting a lot more then my blog lately. Oh boy...

BUT.... The reason for my blog title, is that I got a kick in the butt from Manda Mack to get back into the swing of things. Thank you! : ) I needed that. Lol

Photo Wall Update: So, I really wish I had had the time to post every step of construction.... But yeah. Oh well. Lol Here are some shots of its maiden voyage... It was a bit too dark out by the time dinner was over, and I think my wallpaper decision was not the best. : ( The white just soaked up the light and washed out most of my shots... Darn it! Ooooh well. It is a work in progress I suppose.

This wedding was really amazing and I'll post a couple of my favorites from the day here too, but first... Here is the Photo Wall in action!!

This one was my favorite...

This couple was just awesome... Gotta love the arms holding up their little one. : )

I had thought that without glass, the pictures wouldn't reflect... I was wrong. The bride and groom gave me some old black and whites of their family to use in some of the frames.

I just had to leave her tiny little feet hanging out of this shot... Too cute!

Isn't she beautiful?! I just loved this bride.... She was awesome.

I was having the guests... ahem...borrow props from the photo booth that the brides grandfather made for the wedding. : ) I got some great shots in his booth! Thank you Bride's Grandpa for letting me borrow your props for a bit... They were awesome.

Viking Groom...

Manda... : ) And everyone else that was kind enough to re-visit my near dead blog... Thanks for hanging in there! Hope you liked the pics... And let me know what you think of the wall. If you aren't too mean. Haha It was a LOT harder then I thought it would be to get a straight shot. Oh well... Live and learn!

I think I am a bit too tired to post more pics tonight. : / But if you'd like to see a few more of this really amazing wedding, they are here.

And I am off.... Good night! : )

Why I've neglected my blog...

So... Does anyone else feel horrible when they haven't updated their blog? As if the world is waiting for an update on my DIY photowall. Lol Seriously! I am constantly feeling guilty....NOT that I haven't even worked on the wall project in two weeks now. No, no. I feel guilty that I haven't posted the why. Haha... I just have to laugh at myself sometimes.

Anywho, the reason I have neglected my project....my blogs....my home...my hair, ; ) is because I have just finished work on two very amazing clients photos! I will post a couple of my favs here, but I will have a lot more on my photography blog, if you'd like to see them. : )

Here are a couple of my favorites..... I really adore these guys. It completely POURED rain the entire night before and morning of our shoot, and we decided to go threw with it anyway and see what happened!! Sooo glad we did. The shots came out absolutely amazing. They really were troopers threw the cold and all.... (And to those of you reading this thinking....Yeah right, Phoenix Arizona... Cold? But it is true! It was downright chilly out.

I had to REALLY force myself to stop here... I have way too many favorites to try and share them all here. But if any of you would like to see more, I have more on my professional blog..... OR even better, if you have the time and inclination. lol Their gallery is Open to the public for now on my Main Site! Let me know what you think! ; )

OH! And I promise to have an update on my photowall soon. I've been bummed that I haven't had the time to work on it....

I Need Your Input! ... Help!! : )

Hello there!
So, it is Sunday morning...and I am about to get going on my photo wall project for the first time this weekend. Very exciting!! I had wanted to dedicate the whole weekend to it....but, yeah. I have kids. ; )

Here is where I need some input:
I am going to go look at the wallpaper ideas later....and it is a HUGE commitment! Because in order to change it out I will have to remove all of the frames. Good thing I thought about that now and NOT when I have already glued them up! HA! I can see me using a whole bottle of wood glue on one frame...just to be sure, only to realize that I have to get them off later for a new theme! ; )

Here are my thoughts on what I want..... Any suggestions??? I am torn.

#1 Something simular to this... With only black and white? It seems to be the safest bet, but I really wanted it to be fun too. Hmmm

I LOVE this one...

Or #2 here.... would look so cool with the frames and antique pictures on it... But I am not sure if I should commit to such bold colors? It might clash with the colors of the first wedding that wants to use it?
Or lastly I've thought of something like this... #3
Which is truly very antique-e... Lol Very vintage. But again, I am afraid of possible color clashing?
So please let me know what you guys think!! I think I have been thinking about it too much. :0)

Oh! And I've (Well, my hubby mostly and I) have gotten the frame almost done! So that it will stand up on it's own... I am soo excited. I will have to post some progress pics soon.... Just promise NOT to look at the dirty yard behind the project, kay? ;)

Here is a picture of the original idea... Just incase you needed to know what the heck I was talking about. :)
Thank you for your input and I hope you all are having an awesome Sunday... :o)
